"Thirteen Years in the Dust" tells the story of a murderer suspected of reappearing 1997 years after an unsolved case in 13, and the suspicious rebirth of the case made Wei Zhengrong (played by Chen Jianbin) and Lu Xingzhi (played by Chen Xiao), the two criminal police masters and apprentices, work together again to track down the real murderer. Based on the traditional suspense style, "Thirteen Years of Dust" innovatively integrates a "dual-time narrative structure", with Wei Zhengrong and Lu Xingzhi becoming storytellers in 1997 and 2010 respectively.
