Last year, a criminal picture of David Bowie was sold for over SEK 47,000. Bowie and Iggy Pop had been arrested for cannabis possession and the images from the arrest have reached iconic status.

Now the former president of the United States is being prosecuted and the interest in his image is enormous. But it is not even certain that there will be one. According to information provided to New York Times political reporter Maggie Haberman, no picture was taken in connection with Trump being fingerprinted on Tuesday.

Got a little longer

However, this has not stopped Trump's official campaign staff from printing a t-shirt with a photo montage in which it looks like Trump was photographed in custody with the text "innocent" underneath.

On social media, many have made fun of the fact that it seems that Trump has also become a little longer in the picture than he is in reality.

According to music magazine Rolling Stone, Trump's advisers have been working to use the real image as part of his campaign ahead of the 2024 election campaign.

Images can both take time and not appear

According to the newspaper, regulatory changes in the state of New York have meant that the photos no longer become public automatically when they are taken. That means it may be some time until the legal material is turned over to Trump's lawyers before he can make the real picture public — if any are taken at all.
