Hiroshima Gate Park, a park that opened on the site of the former Hiroshima Municipal Baseball Stadium in Naka-ku, Hiroshima City, is equipped with a plaza for events and commercial facilities.

On the 31st, a commemorative ceremony was held, and after greetings from the people concerned, they celebrated the opening by breaking a kusudama ball.

The park, which was reborn from a municipal stadium, has been devised to remind you of the baseball stadium of yesteryear, such as a monument embedded in the place where the home base used to be, and the approximately 6500,<>-square-meter event plaza that corresponds to the ground part of the stadium can be used as a space for citizens to interact and relax.

In addition to facilities with restaurants, the park also has a skateboard rink.

On the 31st, an event was held to promote the holding of the G5 Hiroshima Summit in May, and food made with local specialties from the prefecture was sold, and it was crowded with tourists and families from overseas.

An office worker in his 7s said, "I'm glad to have a bright place near my house where my children can play freely."

A housewife in her 30s who visited with her 15-year-old daughter said, "It's very nice to have a place to relax in the city, and I'm looking forward to it."
