The accused were Smile Partner, an electrical construction company in Wakaba-ku, Chiba City, and Tomoya Ito, 31, the representative of this company.

According to the people involved, this company was involved in the installation of household air conditioners, etc., and sales were greatly increasing against the backdrop of an increase in the number of people transported due to heat stroke and deaths, but it is suspected that the company's income was pretended to be low by making an acquaintance create a false receipt and record fictitious expenses.

The Inspection Division of the Tokyo Regional Taxation Bureau filed a complaint with the Chiba District Public Prosecutor's Office against the company and its representative on suspicion of concealing approximately 2019 million yen in income and evading corporate taxes of approximately 9 million yen over the two years ending September 2.
