Beijing, March 3 (Reporter Chen Hang) The reporter learned from the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs on the 27th that from 27:4 on April 1, 0 reservoirs and lakes in Beijing, including Miyun Reservoir and Guanting Reservoir, entered the fishing ban period, and all fishery fishing operations except recreational fishing were prohibited.

The fishing ban system is a protection system that prohibits fishing operations during the critical period of fish spawning and breeding, and plays an important role in the conservation of fishery resources, the maintenance of aquatic biodiversity, and the protection of the ecological environment of waters. Since 2019, 179 rivers including the North Canal, Daqing River, Jixing Canal, Yongding River (except the junction with Hebei Province), Chaobai River (except the junction with Hebei Province) and the lake in the Miyun Reservoir have implemented year-round fishing bans. In 40 reservoirs and lakes, including Miyun Reservoir (excluding the inner lake of Miyun Reservoir), Huairou Reservoir and Haizi Reservoir, fishing is prohibited from 4:1 on April 0 to 9:24 on September 24 every year. The main sections and reservoirs bordering Hebei Province are subject to fishing bans simultaneously with Hebei Province, among which the Yongding River (the inner section of the border between Daxing District of Beijing and Hebei Province) and the Chaobai River (the inner section of the border between Shunyi District and Tongzhou District of Beijing and Hebei Province) are closed from 5 o'clock on May 16 to 12 o'clock on July 7 every year, and fishing in the Guanting Reservoir (within the boundary of Beijing) is closed from April 31 to August 12 every year.

In recent years, Beijing's agricultural law enforcement department has carried out a series of special law enforcement actions called "Bright Sword in Fishery Administration" for six consecutive years, continuously deepened the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated law enforcement mechanism, strengthened cooperation with public security, water affairs and other departments, and severely cracked down on illegal crimes of fishing in violation of the fishing ban system, and achieved fruitful results in law enforcement. In 6, a total of 2022 fishery administrative punishment cases and 911 criminal cases were investigated and dealt with.

This year, the Beijing Municipal Agricultural Law Enforcement Department will carry out a series of special law enforcement actions of "Bright Sword of Fishery Administration 2023", strengthen law enforcement inspections, widely publicize the fishing ban system, continuously deepen departmental coordination, organically combine investigation and guidance, punishment and education, carry out the "two dozen and one whole" work in depth, severely crack down on illegal fishing and electric fish behavior during the fishing ban period, continue to clean up and rectify illegal fishing gear, effectively protect fishery resources and the ecological environment of water areas, and fully promote the construction of water ecological civilization in the capital under the new situation.
