NHK Gakuen is a correspondence high school where students learn through NHK television, radio, and the Internet, and a total of 10,80 students in their teens to 1182s graduated nationwide this year.
At the graduation ceremony held at the school building in Kunitachi City, Tokyo on the 26th, diplomas were handed out, and Principal Ken Todoroki gave words of encouragement, saying, "I would like to express my respect for continuing to study on your own by discipline and devising ways to continue your self-study while life continues to be restricted due to the Corona disaster.
After this, a representative of the graduates said, "I learned everything from hard times to fun times, and I am very grateful that I was able to reach the day of graduation with the support of my friends, family, and teachers. I want to continue to live with confidence after three years of learning and never giving up on anything."
A woman in her 3s who graduated said, "It was difficult to balance family and work, but meeting friends and studying together supported me every day.
