The preacher Nabil Al-Awadi warns against underestimating the status of the blessed month of Ramadan, and draws attention to a point that he stressed its importance, which is that there is no way out of the Ramadan in the same situation in which the individual entered, as he is faced with one of two results: either he wins it with forgiveness and credit, or he comes out a loser covered by the Prophet's supplication for him with disappointment and loss.
The Islamic preacher, speaking about the status of the month of Ramadan and how to receive it and spend its day and night, stresses the need for each individual to stand with himself and push him to insist on diligence during the month in worship and getting closer to God, and to increase in it of goods and obedience, so that he can come out of it in a state other than the one he entered into it.
He refers to one of Satan's discouraging entrances before entering Ramadan, which is what some of the same people say that he used to default during the rest of the year, and if the situation changed in Ramadan, he became contradictory and hypocritical, stressing that the Prophet (peace be upon him) and his companions were more diligent and determined during the Ramadan than they were in the rest of the year.
The guest of the episode (2023/3/25) of the program "Sharia and Life in Ramadan" stresses that fasting during the day Ramadan should not be accompanied by laziness and sleep, as this contradicts the purpose of fasting and what the Prophet and his companions were, as fasting is basically related to health, pointing out that this is what the West has alerted to, as they now adopt intermittent fasting during which they spend half the day and night without food, while continuing their work without fail.
As diligent as possible
Al-Awadhi pointed out that the Holy Prophet and his companions were preparing to receive Ramadan months before him by fasting voluntarily and increasing it in the month of Sha'ban, and when entering the Ramadan they were with fasting to increase the reading of the Qur'an, and stay most of the night, and the Prophet was presenting the Qur'an with Jibril, peace be upon him.
The Islamic preacher points out that the Prophet stayed the night in congregation with his companions for 3 days when they were not in the last ten days, and his description was that he continued in it from after the evening prayer until before the Fajr call to prayer, which indicates diligence and a lot of night prayer during the nights of the whole month.
In the last ten days, the Prophet used to retire from others and his family and sit in his tent at the edge of his mosque, pray, worship Allah, remember Him, read the Qur'an and stay the whole night, and it was proven that he prolonged prostration in the rain and wet his face and beard.
Sheikh Al-Awadhi recommended that it not be a cause for apathy and reluctance to obey, and that each individual strives as much as he can, and works to improve his condition every month than it was in the past Ramadan, as well as the rest of the year.
He explained in this context that people were not and will not be on the same degree, some of them are unjust to himself, some are frugal, and some of them are the former with goods, and the former with good deeds on degrees as well, pointing out that gradual progress is typical even in other tracks, such as sports, trade and the like.
As for the day of the Prophet during the Ramadan, Sheikh Nabil Al-Awadhi points out that he used to pray with obligatory people, and the day begins with the dawn prayer, then he sits in the mosque until the sun rises and urges his companions to do so, until they were surprised who goes out and wonders why, and he was keen on the Duha prayer, which he used to call the prayer of the parents.
He pointed out that diligence in worship did not delay him from the rest of the societal and advocacy roles, even jihad and what it requires, as it was proven that Muslims invaded during Ramadan, including the Battle of Badr and the conquest of Mecca.
The Prophet was also very generous and giving during the month, so it was proven that he was a horse and was the best in Ramadan, and he doubled his diligence during the last ten days of the blessed month.
Dr. Al-Awadhi warns of a "basic enemy" in the month of Ramadan, difficult to defeat except those who knew the value of the month and its virtue, indicating that this enemy wastes on many most of the hours of the month of Ramadan, which is a mobile phone device, its danger has become more than television screens, and the calamity of its addiction has become general.
At the end of his episode, he pointed to the individual responsibility of each Muslim in the face of the expansion of the circle of distractions, as well as the collective responsibility, including the responsibility of the head of the family for his family to help them to obey and prepare them for its reasons, in addition to the role of each individual in helping the rest of the family members.
