The entertainment program "Best in Test" is a viewing success. For seven seasons, the program has been broadcast on SVT, but now it will change as SVT has lost the rights, confirms SVT's program director Eva Beckman.

The reason is that SVT has not been able to match the costs of the rights owned by the British production company Avalon

- We simply had to release "Best in Test". The reason was that the British format owners suddenly asked for a price that we do not want and can pay. Then I'm talking about extreme money that we didn't think was defensible," says Eva Beckman, who does not want to mention any sums.

The program will continue to be broadcast in Sweden on another channel. According to TV4 Nyheter, it is TV4 that takes over.

"Best in test" is based on the original British version Taskmaster, which has been sold to a number of countries including Sweden. The Swedish edition premiered in 2017 and is hosted by Babben Larsson and David Sundin.

"Best in test" involves a fixed panel together with a famous guest competing against each other in various challenges. The program has won the Crystal for program of the year and entertainment program of the year.

The Culture News is looking for Babben Larsson, David Sundin and TV4.
