A special exhibition introducing wild cats living around the world is being held at the museum in Kitakyushu City.

The special exhibition held at the Inochi no Tabi Museum in Yahatahigashi-ku, Kitakyushu City, displays about 40 materials on all 200 species of wild cats from around the world.

Among them, the "Marble Cat", which lives in Southeast Asia and other countries, was specially prepared for this exhibition, and it is introduced that it is good at "climbing trees", which many cats are not good at.

In addition, the world's largest feline "tiger" is exhibited side by side with tigers living in Southeast Asia with a three-meter-long "Siberian tiger" clique, and you can compare the differences in patterns and sizes.

In addition, there is a hands-on corner, where Japan Iriomote wildcats can touch their fur and paw balls, and when they open a special box, they can smell the urine of the markings.

Nozomi Nakanishi, curator of the Museum of Life, said, "This is an exhibition where you can gather and compare animals that you can never see together in nature, and I want people to know the current situation where all wild cats are designated as endangered species."

This special exhibition is on view until May 5th.
