Sanming, March 3 (Zhongxin Net) -- With the support of national policies, Qingliu County, Sanming City, Fujian Province, has transformed from the "deep moss and slippery forest" in Chairman Mao's poem to the "forest is rich in grain" today.

In recent years, Qingliu County, as a national commercial grain base, has carried out mechanized grain production and mechanized trusteeship, and used this to liberate rural labor, vigorously develop local characteristic industries such as flowers and tofu skins, and revitalize the countryside.

Because of the popularity of small family factories, the annual output of Qingliu tofu skin has reached more than 6000,3 tons, with an output value of more than <> million yuan. Photo courtesy of Fujian Provincial Television Comprehensive Channel

Qingliu County is located in the mountains of western Fujian and is named because of the "green stream surrounded by blue rivers and blue water". Needless to say, the forest coverage rate is 80%, and the Jiulong River runs through it, moisturizing 1,800 square kilometers of land. The people here guard the unique water and soil, always learning new technologies and trying new models.

"Post-80s" Wu Shansheng was originally engaged in a job completely unrelated to agriculture in Guangzhou, but after returning home in the Mid-Autumn Festival in 2014 to see his elderly parents drying more than <>,<> kilograms of rice harvested by the family, he did not have a good night's sleep for a whole week, and decided to quit his job and return to his parents. He hopes that with his own efforts, his family can live a good life.

To transform agricultural production methods, it is necessary to use modern agricultural techniques. So, Wu Shansheng signed up for the county's technical training course and took out a loan to buy a dryer more than ten meters high.

At present, Wu Shansheng's family farm has more than 200 modern agricultural machinery, and the farmland has expanded from the initial 530 acres to 500 acres; Through the rotation planting of sweet potatoes and other crops, the income of one mu of land has increased from the earliest more than 3000 yuan to more than 100,<> yuan, and the annual household income is more than <> million yuan.

In addition to relying on agricultural mechanization, young farmers in Qingliu have also explored a new model of rice trusteeship, allowing farmers to live a life of "harvesting rice every year without going to the field".

Wei Jiansen, who is a few years older than Wu Shansheng, has been in the agricultural machinery business since graduating from university. Since 2017, he has a new identity, becoming a "land steward" and starting a "rice trustee" service.

Wei Jiansen gathered more than 700 agricultural mechanics, took out more than 1400 machines, and established an agricultural service cooperative to provide trusteeship services for farmers, so that farmers can choose their own trusteeship projects. Even if they choose full custody, farmers spend <> yuan per mu of custody fees, and finally calculate that there is an income of about <> yuan per mu. With unified management, the rice produced is of better quality and the price is higher.

Today, more than 40,000 acres of land in Qingliu County are under trust. In the valley and on the slopes, under the cultivation of the Hakka people, the fields have become the most beautiful scenery in the Qingliu countryside. The beauty of this fertile field is not only because of the innovative energy of the Qingliu people "for the source of living water", but also from the spirit of solidarity and mutual assistance passed down from generation to generation on this ancient land.

Lan Aizhen, the initiator of the Qingliu Tofu Skin Cooperative, could have expanded the factory to produce tofu skins herself. When she saw that the female workers in the factory had to take care of both the elderly and the young children, some of whom lived in neighboring villages and took several hours to travel back and forth every day, Lan Aizhen gave up the idea of expanding the factory and began to help the villagers build small factories in front of their homes, set up a tofu skin cooperative, and use unified standards and equipment to produce.

Today, the number of such "small factories on the doorstep" has grown from 5 to 116. It is precisely because of the popularity of small family factories that the annual output of Qingliu tofu skin has reached more than 6000,3 tons, with an output value of more than <> million yuan.

Guan Furong, who returned to his hometown to engage in the flower industry, was helped by the villagers when he was most difficult. Later, Guan Furong's career gradually improved, and he also shared his technology and experience with the villagers, and established a flower seedling cooperative together.

In 2019, Guan Furong joined forces with 6 cut flower cooperatives to establish a flower consortium and build a 4000,2022-square-meter western Fujian flower trading logistics center, unified purchase of materials, unified variety promotion, unified logistics and freight, helping flower farmers further reduce costs and improve efficiency. In 10000, the planting area of flower seedlings in Qingliu County will be more than 6,<> mu, and the output value will reach more than <> million yuan.

"Ninghua clear stream naturalization, the road pass forest is deep moss slippery." This is the poem left by Mao Zedong when he led the Red Fourth Army to Gannan in 1930 and passed through the Qingliu. At that time, Qingliu County was located in a remote area and inconvenient transportation. Until the 20s of the 80th century, Qingliu was still a provincial poor county, and the per capita annual income of farmers was less than <> yuan.

Today, Qingliu County has long been rich in roads, forests, and grain. As a national commercial grain base, Qingliu County has an annual grain output of more than 80,000 tons. People cultivate mountain and forest land into fertile fields, and live an idyllic life through rich and diverse industries such as rice, tofu skins, flower seedlings, and rural tourism.

In Qingliu, every person, every scenery, and seemingly ordinary story encountered silently highlights the great changes that have taken place from poverty alleviation to rural revitalization, as well as the timeless value of Chinese traditional culture in the changes of the times, making people marvel at the beauty and strength of the countryside on the land of Fujian.
