Marcia Cross will not soon forget her arrival in France... The unforgettable interpreter of Bree Van de Kamp in the series Desperate Housewives had to be exfiltrated from the Séries Mania festival, where she was invited to give a masterclass, because of protesters against the pension reform.

"I didn't think of much else"

The latter disrupted the passage of the star on the red carpet by breaking down barriers and throwing projectiles. The CRS had to intervene and Marcia Cross, in the middle of a photocall, was forced to leave the scene. The day after the incident, Marcia Cross agreed to confide in our colleagues at La Voix du Nord. The star of Desperate Housewives says she was not shocked by the arrival of the protesters.

"We were trying to move forward through journalists, Laurence Herszberg (the general director of the festival) said that there were protesters behind. I said, 'Great, it's very French!' Maybe a little too French, I was told... But I didn't think of much else," she explains.

"I know what's going on, I understand it"

Marcia Cross was in Paris before coming to Lille for the festival. She was therefore aware of the social movements shaking the country for several weeks. "I was in Paris just before coming to Lille so I know what's going on. I understand it," says the actress. "In any case, I prefer your garbage to our mass killings," she said, referring to the shootings in the United States.

During her visit to Paris, the actress even participated in a demonstration against the pension reform, as evidenced by one of her Instagram stories, which made the rounds of social networks.
