On the 21st, the official website of the State Press and Publication Administration issued a notice on carrying out the "2023·3" printing and reproduction quality inspection activities in 15 and the printing of key textbooks for primary and secondary schools and environmental protection quality inspection.

The notice makes it clear that the State Press and Publication Administration has organized the Publishing Product Quality Supervision and Testing Center, and relevant comrades of provincial-level publishing departments and quality inspection institutions have formed a number of working groups to conduct inspections and random inspections in no less than eight regions across the country. While cooperating with the work at the national level, all regions should make organizational arrangements for quality inspection activities in their own regions in light of the actual work conditions. Sampling and inspection work shall be arranged and implemented synchronously, so as to achieve a batch of sampling, testing and judgment. In view of the outstanding problems found, timely release quality and safety risk warning information. At the same time, do a good job in monitoring and judging relevant quality public opinion, quickly verify, properly handle, and report in a timely manner.

The notice clarifies the scope of work: sampling inspection of the quality of printing and reproduction of thematic published products published from 2021 to 2023, including the party's innovative theoretical research, interpretation, reading materials, study, publicity, and implementation of the party's 2022 spirit books, newspapers, periodicals and CD-ROM products. At the same time, it is necessary to take into account other categories of publishing products such as economy, history, geography, sports, medicine, etc. Random inspection of the printing quality of calendar calendars published in 2023-2021, and at the same time, through quality inspection, the illegal printing of problem calendar calendars should be corrected. Conduct a random inspection of the printing quality of teaching aids and children's books published from 2023 to 2023. Inspect the printing and environmental quality of key textbooks for primary and secondary schools in the fall of the 2024-1 school year, including textbooks on ethics and rule of law, language, and history compiled by the state for grades 9-<>, while taking into account other varieties of textbooks.

The circular requires that all regions adhere to the correct direction, strengthen organizational leadership, and formulate implementation plans in light of the actual work of their regions. The 2023 quality inspection activities will be launched on March 3 and end at the end of October, but quality management should run through the whole year and throughout the whole process of printing and reproduction supervision.
