At 9 o'clock, there are tourists at the ticket office of Yulantang Wharf in the Summer Palace to scan the code to reserve a cruise. Nowadays, visitors only need to scan the reservation QR code at the ticket office of the terminal, follow the prompts to pay the deposit by themselves, and book a cruise at the pier to complete the reservation. During peak hours, the smart screens at the ticket office will call visitors in order of reservation, and visitors will also receive SMS alerts in line. After boarding, visitors can scan the QR code on the "5G box" on the steering wheel to start the cruise. At the end of the tour, scan the QR code again to complete the self-checkout.

In recent years, relying on the application of 5G technology, the Summer Palace has successively completed convenient services such as "Golden Piercing" online live broadcast, and this year, 200 small cruise ships in the Summer Palace are fully equipped with "5G boxes", incorporating cruise ships into the park's intelligent management system. If the cruise ship has problems or encounters an emergency during the journey, tourists can call for help through the "5G box" with one click, and the staff can quickly locate the location of the cruise ship and provide timely support. In addition, this year, the on-board explanation service will also be launched, relying on the cruise ship positioning system, when driving around the lake close to nearby attractions, the mobile phone mini program pops up audio explanation, truly visiting the Summer Palace on Kunming Lake.

According to reports, this year, the Summer Palace has opened a total of 3 boat docks, namely Yulantang Wharf, Wenchangge Wharf, and Bafangting Wharf, providing tourists with 200 antique battery boats, pedal boats and hand-rowing boats. All three piers sell tickets daily from 08:30, at 16:30 and at 17:30. There are 11 fixed routes, basically covering the popular attractions and main tourist routes in the park. When the wind force reaches level <> and above (including gusts), all cruise ships will stop selling tickets to ensure the safety of visitors.
