Zhong Yongxiong, 51 years old this year, chose to work as a porter in Sanqing Mountain because of his hearing impairment. He has been working as a porter for more than 30 years.
"In 1997, I started to learn to dance in an exchange event in Zhangzhou, Fujian, and practiced in my spare time. It was not until 2014 that I started to try to dance my own 'porter dance' on the way up and down the mountain."

In November 2022, due to an accident, Zhong Yongxiong suffered a broken leg and was hospitalized for one month.
He practiced dancing at home every day during his recuperation after being discharged from the hospital, hoping to return to the mountains as soon as possible.
"I usually practice new dances at home when I have nothing to do, and move my legs and feet. After more than a hundred days of recuperation, it is now completely as usual. It is no problem to pick up a hundred catties of goods."

On weekends, Sanqing Mountain is full of tourists.
With the rhythm of the music, Zhong Yongxiong's stick turned into a prop and turned left to right. After returning from injury, Zhong Yongxiong took a cheerful dance step. The tourist Ms. Ou and her companions joined him to interact with him.
"I'm very happy. I was a little tired just now. After dancing, my whole body is relaxed. There is such a beautiful scenery. I feel very good."
It is also this "alternative" landscape that has firmly locked the eyes of many tourists.
Zhong Yongxiong gave everyone the impression of being happy, confident and optimistic. Tourists often post videos of dancing and interaction on social platforms, affectionately calling him "Happy Porter".
Zhong Yongxiong told reporters that dancing has become part of his work as a porter, which not only entertains himself, but also makes tourists feel relaxed.
"Tourists like to watch me dance and interact with me, so I am more enthusiastic. Dancing can make people relax. While cheering for them to climb the mountain, it also spreads happiness."

Gradually, more and more tourists who came to Sanqingshan got to know the porter Zhong Yongxiong. His "porter dance" often became popular on social networks. Zhong Yongxiong also registered the "Sanqingshan Porter" Douyin account and often shared videos of himself dancing online. .
In Zhong Yongxiong's view, he just does simple things well and conveys a state of mind and happiness.
