On March 13, the Liaoning Maritime Police Bureau announced that it had recently successfully destroyed a criminal gang in Dalian that had stolen marine treasures, arrested 11 people involved in the case, and seized a motorboat and 7 mobile phones involved in the case.
After investigation, the gang has verified the theft of more than 10,000 catties of sea cucumbers.
Since the spring of 2023, there have been frequent cases of theft of marine treasures in the Changxing Island Economic Development Zone of Dalian City, which have had a bad impact and seriously damaged the local business environment.
In this regard, the Liaoning Maritime Police Bureau established the "23-01" extra-large theft of sea treasures on February 13th, and mobilized elite police forces to carry out investigation and evidence collection.
The members of the special case team continued to expand the scope of the search by means of access to video surveillance, call records, bank records, etc. After 17 days of careful investigation, one was led by Cong, and Sun Moupeng, Zhao Moulian and others participated in the robbery. - A criminal gang with a clear chain of transportation and sales has surfaced.
In the early morning of March 3, the special case team was divided into three groups, and successively arrested key personnel who organized theft, collected stolen goods offline, and assisted in crimes in Fuzhou City, Xietun, and Changxing Island in Dalian. At 11:40 on the same day Xu, all were arrested and brought to justice.
After nearly 30 hours of continuous fighting, as of now, the interrogation, search, and seizure have all been completed, and criminal coercive measures have been taken against the seven suspects in accordance with the law.
Currently, the case is under further investigation.
