Virginie Efira was the guest of the program "Les Rencontres du Papotin" on Saturday March 4, 2023 on France 2. Faced with journalists suffering from autistic disorders, the actress, freshly Caesarized for her role in "Revoir Paris", remembered the day when a teacher made fun of her in front of her whole class.

With hindsight, the star believes that he reacted badly to this humiliation…

Virginie Efira has become, in just a few years, one of the most courted actresses in French cinema.

The star has not always been so adored and respected.

Invited to the program

Les Rencontres du Papotin

on Saturday March 4, 2023, the actress, who received the César for best actress for her role in

 Revoir Paris,

indeed said that she had already suffered humiliation from a teacher.

"How much is it, Virginia?"

"A teacher, whom I had, liked to collect the laughter of people in the class by making fun of a student. He had seen me with a friend who was giving me money and suddenly he started to do jokes”, remembered Virginie Efira who had already mentioned this episode in the columns of

Vanity Fair

in 2021.

"I remember a math teacher who joked to me: 'How much is Virginia?'" she explained in this interview.

In

Les Rencontres du Papotion,

Virginie Efira has therefore agreed to speak on the subject.

"What he did was very stupid," she said.

But, this humiliation also pushed her to ask questions about herself.

"At Papotin, anything can happen!"

It's Virginie Efira's turn to answer straightforward questions from our atypical journalists for #LesRencontresDuPapotin.

“I laughed with the others like a fool”

"I wondered how come, when someone does something to me that is quite humiliating, not very fair, nice or intelligent, why did I laugh? At that moment, I laughed with the others like a fool when I should have said that it was not done to do that", explains Virginie Efira, who believes that she did not have the appropriate reaction to her teacher.

“We meet people on our journey who will say things that are not nice, it would be good to tell them that it is not very nice and very intelligent to say things like that”, concludes the actress, who does not can now never be done again...
