The story of how

Elisabeth Álvarez

(Barcelona, October 28, 1989) has entered the top of

successful Spanish businesswomen

in such a short time surprises even herself.

Since the end of 2017, the date on which she founded the first beauty center in her hometown, she has carried out up to five extensions and one move of the space.

"In one year, 2018, I got to do so many works that I was afraid I would die of success. There came a point where I couldn't take on more demand," she says, blushing.

Despite the disaster caused by the pandemic, it was "good" for her to stop and think about how

to grow safely

and carry out a good team formation.

Because she was not in her plans to undertake beauty or exceed all expectations with 70 people in charge of her and thirty cabins.

"I studied Psychology and everything arose after a dismissal when I became pregnant."

She helped him jump into the pool.

Like many young women, to help pay for her studies while she was studying, Álvarez looked for a job at an

aesthetic medicine and surgery clinic

that was located next to the college.

It was his first contact with the sector.

"People are usually clear about what they want in life, in my case, it was not like that."

"THE WORST SKIN IS MINE"

Inout, the largest beauty center in Spain is in Barcelona, and has around thirty cabins.EM

Rather, the casuistry was aligned because, in addition, he had many skin problems since he was a teenager that prompted him to try all kinds of creams and ointments in search of a solution.

"I always say that

the worst skin I've ever treated is mine

because the acne aggravated an undiagnosed rosacea."

He remembers having consulted magazines, visited pharmacies, dermatologists... "It created insecurity in me and

gave me a lot of complexes

."

Hence, after finishing university, she wanted to continue working in that beauty center where she learned so much and which gave her knowledge by going through different positions.

"I ended up as an assistant manager until they decide to fire me when I have my son Eric, who is now six years old."

Álvarez is a partner of the gastronomic businessman Enrique Tomás, one of the kings of Iberian ham.

THE BARÇA PLAYERS

Barça players, actresses and models are among their clients.EM

Many people have asked him why he did not report this situation, but he slips that he felt great sadness if he sued because he learned everything there.

However, she showed that being a mother is not an impediment to work.

"With my son in a nursery, I realized that there was no beauty center that bet on

innovative treatments and cutting-edge technology

. A place like this was needed in Barcelona and I asked for two credits, for machines and for space".

That differentiation was key, he acknowledges, despite the fact that there are great professionals who have 30 years of experience.

"It was not easy to invest in appliances that were not in Spain, it could have gone wrong, but clearly it was necessary."

Everything was round, without intending it, from word of mouth to ear.

Even the

Barça footballers

wanted to try their painless laser for permanent hair removal and that had a multiplier effect.

"When a well-known person came, I heard my girls say that they took them to the beautiful cabin and that horrified me. I wanted everyone to be able to enjoy good advice and care in the best conditions and so I began to look for a better place, instead of opening another space and that it could get out of hand".

And so he arrived at the current Inout, which claims to be

the largest beauty center in Spain

.

MULTIFACETED AND VISIONARY

It looks like a luxury hotel but she doesn't stop there.

An expert in dermocosmetics and formulation, she is about to launch her beauty line, which she has been developing for four years and aims to be a very easy and practical brand.

"May the routine be simple but effective."

In addition, she has written

a book about to be published on skin care at home

and has another company, Fengo, by Elisabeth Álvarez, a multi-brand store at the Barajas airport that facilitates care for those who do not want to be controlling the packaging of more than 100 ml that you need in your hand luggage.

"My cleansers are 200 ml and I don't like to move them to a smaller container because it contaminates them. I was going crazy looking for it and decided to create them."

Despite the good numbers, as the phrase goes, "until you win the lottery has its downside."

Each project carried out entails a resignation.

"

I juggle to be able to reconcile.

I go to therapy once a week to balance my life and that work does not take everything away. Because it happens without you noticing," she says.

She understands that many women give up their careers to have a child.

"Around me,

successful women stop their working life

because the idea that you are a mother before anything else is very installed in society and that happens from school, because the teacher calls you and not the father, the groups WhatsApp of extracurricular activities".

She believes that they are more demanding of themselves and want to reach everything.

SOCIAL NETWORKS

Álvarez conquered elite athletes, singers, models,

celebrity

actresses and numerous

influencers

, such as the Catalan Dulceida, who even went to his wedding.

"Social networks give you

direct exposure to the world

, it is its positive part. The negative is that now much more is criticized in the anonymity of being behind a screen."

He does notice that

the fear of aesthetics has been lost

, that there is more knowledge thanks to Instagram, but he believes that the filters also do a lot of damage, creating a dysmorphia of reality.

"There have always been beauty canons, but

there are young people who no longer know how to look natural

."

The beauty of his profession is helping to feel better.

"Before a touch-up was not counted and now it is shared. People know that botox or hyaluronic acid do not imply an operation, when before they did not even know what it was."

What she likes least is the lack of self-acceptance due to this dizzying growth of aesthetics.

"Cellulite we will always have. We can take care of ourselves with everything in our power, but

we will never be perfect

."

YOUR BEAUTY ROUTINE

We ask you for a good beauty routine.

"

Sunscreen and good skin hygiene are non-negotiable.

Luckily, Julio Iglesias's tan that did so much damage is no longer worn."

Hydration will depend on the needs of each person, "not because your friend uses it, but the products that will really help you. Retinol is wonderful but not everyone requires it," she exemplifies.

She never goes to sleep without cleaning her face.

Will it open in Madrid?

Álvarez acknowledges that he is constantly asked for it and with all kinds of formulas as a franchiser.

At the moment, she doesn't look prepared.

"You have to be careful with the expansion and be very present because the clients want to see you there."

Of course, she will continue in her efforts to improve.

"You have to work hard and be critical of your business,

you can't stay where you are

."
