When part two started, there was not much talk about Tennessee tears, the debut duo who were to perform the country song "Now I know".

The group was far down on the betting sites' lists and received far from as much media attention as competitors Uje Brandelius, Panetoz and Maria Sur.

- We were underestimated, says band member Tilda Feuk.

But when it came to voting, the Swedish people showed that country has a given place in Melodifestivalen and Tennessee tears climbed up to a semi-final place.

Something that, despite strong faith in their own song, made the duo believe they were dreaming.

- I screamed straight out, says the other member Jonas Hermansson and continues:

- At the same time, I think that people also underestimate how big country music is in the country, so we knew that there were many people who would like our music.

More success more pressure

But achieving success in the competition has come with more pressure, the duo says.

Something that was not as present when, as a debutant, you hit from below.

- I looked at the odds for this week and got quite nervous because all of a sudden we weren't as big underdogs as we were last time, and it was quite nice to be that, says Jonas Hermansson.

- Yes, then you didn't have pressure in the same way.

Now you feel that "well, now people think things will go well here", adds Tilda Feuk.

Trying not to think about the competition

At Saturday's semi-final there will be among others Nordman, Mariette and Theoz, and before the competition, the Tennessee Tears try to shield themselves from what they call a "very tough competition".

- We've tried not to think too much about it because it just puts grills in your head, we can only go out and try to deliver our song as well as we can, says Jonas Hermansson.

Tilda Feuk says that it has generally become a challenge to imagine competing against the other contributions.

- You really like the others as people, so you can hardly think of competing against that person.
