A 17-year-old male high school student who was arrested after a teacher was cut with a knife at a junior high school in Toda City, Saitama Prefecture on the 1st of this month, made a statement to the effect that he aimed at a school with many people. In the afternoon of the 1st of this month, a 17-year-old male high school student living in Urawa-ku, Saitama City was accused of attempted murder after invading a classroom at a junior high school in Toda City and slashing a 60-year-old male teacher who stopped him with a knife. He was arrested on suspicion and was sent to the prosecutor's office on the 3rd.



According to the police, the high school student admitted to the charges and stated that he was interested in indiscriminate murder, and also said that he had wanted to kill people for a long time.



In addition, interviews with investigative officials revealed that he had made a statement to the effect that he thought there would be many people at school.
