Astronaut Koichi Wakata, who has been staying on the International Space Station for a long time, will leave the International Space Station after the 9th of this month Japan time and return to Earth.

Koichi Wakata has been on the International Space Station for about five months since October last year, and during this time he has been working on various experiments for his first extravehicular activity and future exploration of the Moon and Mars.



JAXA = Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency announced on the 3rd that Mr. Wakata will leave the International Space Station to return to Earth after the 9th of this month Japan time.



This is the fifth space flight for a Japanese astronaut, and at a press conference from space on the 2nd of Japan time, Mr. Wakata said, "Every time I fly, I thought, 'This may be the last time,' but I could fly five times. I was lucky," he said.
