The man is believed to have jumped from the platform onto the tracks, and a woman, believed to be in her 60s, was involved in the accident.
The woman collapsed on the platform and was transported to the hospital, but she is conscious.
Police are trying to determine the identity of the deceased man and the circumstances surrounding his death.
Due to this accident, the JR Chuo and Sobu lines were temporarily suspended in some sections.
