Gongshan County, Nujiang Prefecture, Yunnan Province is located at the junction of Yunnan and Tibet, and on the China-Myanmar border. It has jurisdiction over 4 townships including Bingzhongluo Town and Dulongjiang Township.
Among them, Dulongjiang Township in the west was once one of the most remote, isolated, and poorest towns in China. The Dulong ethnic group, one of China's smallest ethnic groups, has lived here for generations.
At the end of 2018, the entire Dulong ethnic group was lifted out of poverty, realizing the leap of "one step for a thousand years".
"Since getting rid of poverty, Dulongjiang has firmly followed the path of common prosperity and harmonious coexistence between man and nature, improving the level of transportation, education, medical care and health, and comprehensively promoting rural revitalization." "Gongshan County has always insisted on the layout of the tourism industry around the two key areas of Dulong River and Bingzhongluo, and maximized the advantages of the Great West Yunnan Tourist Ring Road to create a world-class alpine and valley tourist resort."
