A long-established ryokan in Chikushino City, which was instructed by Fukuoka Prefecture to improve its bath water only twice a year, initially gave false explanations to the public health center. I have decided to file a criminal complaint next week on suspicion of violating the Inns and Hotels Act.

Daimaru Besso, a long-established ryokan in Futsukaichi Onsen in Chikushino City, changes the hot water in the public bath, which must be changed at least once a week according to Fukuoka Prefecture regulations, only on closed days twice a year. Injection of chlorine was also neglected, and Legionella bacteria were detected up to 3,700 times the standard value, and in December last year, the prefecture received improvement guidance.

On the other hand, the ryokan initially gave a false explanation to the public health center that it was appropriate to change the hot water.

According to people involved, the prefecture has decided to file a criminal complaint next week on suspicion of violating the public bath law and the hotel business law.

Daimaru Besso said, ``It is true that the former president, who resigned, said at a press conference that he made a false explanation, but as a company, I would like to comment on the criminal charges when I am officially informed.'' .
