"Tsudanuma PARCO", which opened in 1977 in front of Tsudanuma Station in Chiba Prefecture and has been popular as a symbol of the city for many years, will close on the 28th.

Many people come to shop and take photos, and the final day is lively.

Tsudanuma PARCO, a fashion building that opened in 1977, is a familiar symbol of the town in front of Tsudanuma Station, a fiercely battlefield for distribution that straddles Funabashi City and Narashino City.

However, due to the expansion of commercial facilities in the suburbs and the spread of online shopping, the most recent sales have fallen to half of the peak.

45 years after opening.

On the 28th, the curtain will come down on the history of continuing to transmit culture and trends.

On the 28th, the last day of the event, a long line formed before the store opened at 10:00 a.m. to buy the limited original tenugui towels.

Some people took commemorative photos on the sidewalk connecting the station and the store, or on the photo spots inside the store, and posted messages on the bulletin board, such as, "I did my best as a symbol of Tsudanuma."

The owner of the accessory shop, known as ``Paru Jiji,'' said, ``I was able to continue for many years because he took such good care of such a small tenant. I am overwhelmed with gratitude," he said.

At the nearby JR Tsudanuma Station Sobu Line rapid platform, one of the station name display boards was changed to 'Tsudanuma Parco Station' until the evening of the 28th.

The letter "Thank you" was also attached, and the home was lined with people who took pictures.

A couple in their 20s said, "Dating was always at PARCO. A part of my daily life was lost, but in the end it was a good memory."

At 9:00 pm when the store closes, Tsudanuma Parco will project a message of gratitude to the community with a laser beam on the wall of the building, ending its 45-year history.
