China News Agency, Berlin, February 25th (Reporter Ma Xiuxiu) The 73rd Berlin International Film Festival announced the winners of the main competition unit on the 25th. Golden Bear Award for Best Film.

  This documentary tells the story of a floating day clinic for the mentally ill on the Seine.

The jury of the Berlin Film Festival said that this is a very heartfelt film that expresses "very deep" thoughts and feelings.

  Silver Bear Award winners of this year's film festival include: German director Christian Petzold's "Red Sky" won the Jury Prize; Portuguese director João Conny's "Barely Living" won the Jury Prize; France Director Philippe Garrel won the best director award; Spanish girl Sofia Otero won the best leading role award; Austrian actor Thea Iha won the best supporting role award.

Best Screenplay and Outstanding Artistic Contribution were awarded to "Music" and "Disco Boys," respectively.

  A total of 19 films were shortlisted for the main competition at this year's Berlin Film Festival, including two Chinese-language films, "The Light of the White Tower" directed by Zhang Lu and the animated film "Art Academy" directed by Liu Jian.

In other units, many Chinese-language films also appeared.

  Founded in 1951, the Berlin Film Festival is one of the three major film festivals in Europe along with the Cannes Film Festival in France and the Venice Film Festival in Italy.

The Golden Bear and Silver Bear are the most important awards of the Berlin Film Festival and one of the most prestigious awards in the film industry, awarded by the international jury in the main competition.

  The 73rd Berlin International Film Festival opened on February 16th, including the main competition, encounter, forum, panorama and other units, and lasted until the 26th.
