Solène Delinger 3:00 p.m., February 24, 2023

This is the big return of "The Voice" this Saturday, February 25 on TF1.

On this occasion, Europe 1 interviewed one of the talents who is about to pass the blind auditions: Valentin Caillou.

At 23, this young man with a shy character but with a very confident voice hopes that one coach in particular will turn around: Zazie.

Valentin Caillon will throw himself into the deep end this Saturday, February 25, 2023 by passing the blind auditions for the new season of

The Voice.

At 23, the young man, who has been singing since his childhood, decided to take his chance.

Of a shy nature, he intends to express himself well thanks to his voice and hopes to conquer the heart of a famous coach: Zazie.

"I've been thinking about doing The Voice since the show has existed"

What made you want to participate in

 The Voice?

I've been thinking about it since the show started.

We watched the first seasons with my parents very carefully.

And then, I have always bathed in a musical environment.

As a kid, I was doing baroque music, classical.

I had some singing skills and above all the desire to sing all the time.

Through hard work and passion, I managed to perfect my voice.

So my older brother always told me: 'Valentine, The Voice

has to be done

!'.

But, I was very scared and I told him to leave me alone (laughs).

When did you have the click?

Not long ago, I said to myself: 'Well, Valentin, it's time for you to get out of your cocoon and your prejudices, your little anxiety and take the plunge.

At the same time, a friend of mine, who unfortunately was not taken, participated in the blind auditions of

 The Voice.

I accompanied him in the studio.

I asked an assistant if I could audition.

She told me to send some videos, which I did and got picked up for the auditions.

“I feel more free to express myself by singing”

In life, you are very shy.

Paradoxically, you are not afraid to sing.

How do you explain it?

We all bare ourselves a little bit when we sing, whether it's us singing or the person listening to us and seeing us.

It's a place where masks fall and where modesty somehow goes away.

I feel freer to express myself through singing.

In what state of mind are you before passing in front of the coaches?

I think my knees are going to snap before going on stage.

But, I want to live the present moment and evacuate all my parasitic thoughts to enjoy the moment.

If the red armchairs flip over, which artist would you like to work with?

I made myself a business plan (Laughs).

I tend to anticipate a lot of things.

A priori, I would like to join Zazie's team.

But it is not excluded that I let myself be convinced by other coaches...
