And 12!

The new season of "The Voice" begins this Saturday on TF1.

The opportunity to find the coaches, with two new ones this year, but of course also the talents unearthed by the production of the show.

But between spontaneous applications, research on social networks and random castings, how are talents discovered?

This Saturday begins the 12th season of

The Voice

on TF1.

And for the production, each season is a challenge to find the best voices.

Painstaking work, between spontaneous applications and wild castings, as confided by Matthieu Grelier, director of development and programs at ITV Studios, which produces

The Voice.

Record of applications

"It's a job that is all over the place. Field work obviously, where we go to a lot of singing competitions, to a lot of festivals, a lot of open mics, a lot of conservatories, campsites, local radio

stations

, small scenes. We go everywhere. There is also work on social networks, "he explains at the microphone of Europe 1 / Culture Media.

"But there are also MyTF1 and spontaneous applications. For this 2023 season, we had a record number of applications: 50,000 votes auditioned and we chose 100 of these 50,000. It's incredible and I want to say it's a pleasure", concludes Matthieu Grelier.

Among the novelties this year, the jury will be made up of two new members: Bigflo and Oli.

The two rapper brothers are the youngest jurors in the history of The Voice and will be alongside Amel Bent, Vianney and Zazie.

The latter also confided in her new colleagues at the microphone of Europe 1.

Bigflo and Oli new members of the jury

"It's exciting to have several generations. Clearly, Bigflo and Oli could be my children", smiles the singer at the microphone of Culture Médias.

"So it's also this confrontation that is interesting because you have to remain flexible when you're an artist, not to be young either. So you can remain nuanced in your age and in your generation, with your codes. But we also learn a little about the codes of others. It's fun, it's a good exchange."

The new season of

The Voice

begins this Saturday at 9 p.m. on TF1.
