An interview with officials revealed that the spring garden party hosted by Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress will be held on May 11, after the long holidays.

It is the first time since Reiwa that a garden party will be held.

The garden party is hosted by Their Majesties and is held twice in spring and autumn at Akasaka Gyoen in Minato Ward, Tokyo. It has been postponed eight times in a row due to the expansion.

According to the people involved, it was decided that this year's spring garden party would be held on May 11, after the long holidays, based on the status of infection control measures for the new corona.

It will be the first time in five years that the event will be held, and the first since the era of Reiwa following the enthronement of His Majesty the Emperor.

At the garden party, around 2,000 guests gather from all over the country every year and have a chat at a short distance while eating and drinking, but the number of invitees and the provision of food and drink will be further considered.
