An exhibition of Ishigaki puffer fish donated by the talent "Sakana-kun", known as a fish expert, began on the 21st at the aquarium in Uozu City, Toyama Prefecture.

At the Uozu Aquarium in Uozu City, Toyama Prefecture, two spotted pufferfish donated by ichthyologist and media personality Sakana-kun are on display.



Both of them are about 30 centimeters in length, and are characterized by black mottled patterns and short spines all over their bodies.

According to the Uozu Aquarium, when "Sakana-kun" visited the aquarium in November last year for the recording of the NHK TV program "Super Gyogyotto Sakana Star", he offered to donate the Ishigaki puffer fish, and the following month he was presented with a hand-drawn illustration. It means that



Two of them were caught by a fisherman in Tateyama City, Chiba Prefecture, with a set net, and raised by Sakana-kun at home for about a year or two.

The spotted puffer lives widely in temperate and tropical waters, and according to aquarium records, only five cases of spotted puffer have been found in Toyama Bay.



Takuro Izumi, who is in charge of raising the two animals, said, "I'm happy that these two cute and energetic animals came. I want it,' he said.
