China News Service, Puyang, February 21st (Wang Di) When it comes to the origin of Chinese characters, many people will think of the legend of "Cangjie created characters".

In the records of ancient books such as "Huainanzi" and "Shuowen Jiezi", it was the Yellow Emperor historian with "Longyan and four eyes" who created the original Chinese characters and made the Chinese civilization continue to be passed on.

Nanle County, located in Puyang City, Henan Province, has a very prosperous Cangjie culture. The Cangjie Temple Fair held here every first month is one of the largest temple fairs in northern Henan. In 2015, it was included in the provincial intangible cultural heritage protection list.

Recently, the reporter came to Nanle County, Puyang to listen to and explore the legend of "Cangjie's invention of characters" in the "Huaxia Longdu" following the "Freehand China - Exploring the Origin of Chinese Characters" theme promotional event.

Nanle County has the Cangjie Mausoleum and Temple built in the second year of Yongxing in the Eastern Han Dynasty. On this basis, the Cangjie Cultural Museum was established, including Zisheng Square, Yangsheng Gate, Wangu One Man Hall, Zangjia Tower, and Book-making Platform. and other attractions.

The museum preserves many sculptures, inscriptions and plaques inscribed by celebrities related to Cangjie during the Ming Dynasty. It can be seen that people in the past dynasties respected Cangjie's creation of characters.

There are also anecdotes left here, such as the "fraudulent donation" made by the magistrate of the Daming Prefecture in the Tianqi year of the Ming Dynasty to Yinxian for repairing the stele, and Sun Dianying, the robber of the Dongling Mausoleum, who changed the "Zangjinglou" to "Zangjialou". Unconsciously smile.

According to Pang Xingang, a commentator of the Cangjie Culture Museum, Cangjie left footprints of his activities in many places during the period of creating and teaching characters.

In order to express his reverence, there are tombs of his clothes in many places, such as Canggong, Cangwang and Cangsheng temples in Baishui, Shaanxi and Shouguang, Shandong.

"But the name Cangjie Mausoleum Temple is unique to our place because we are Cangjie's hometown." Pang Xingang said.

Just below the Cangjie Cultural Museum, there are also buried ancient cultural sites from the Yangshao and Longshan periods.

According to the analysis of stratigraphic accumulation and unearthed relics, the lowest layer of the site is the Yangshao culture layer, followed by the Longshan culture layer, and the upper layer is the accumulation of the Shang and Zhou dynasties. The Longshan culture is the main layer. The accumulation is thick and lasts for a long time, and the relics are the most abundant.

In Puyang, the most famous Yangshao cultural relic is the "China's first dragon" unearthed in 1987 in Xishuipo to build a water supply adjustment pool project for diverting the Yellow River.

In the "China's First Dragon" exhibition hall in the Qicheng cultural relics scenic spot in Puyang, you can see three groups of animal patterns made of clam shells.

One group was unearthed in a tomb owned by an elderly male.

The dragon-shaped clam sculpture on the east side of the owner of the tomb is "the first dragon in China".

It is 1.78 meters long and 0.67 meters high, with its head held high and its neck bent, its body bowed and its tail long, with its front paws clawed and its rear paws kicked, as if flying in the sky.

Mussel dragons are not only vivid and highly artistic, but also from the perspective of the development of Chinese dragons, its head, claws, tail and overall composition already possess most of the elements and creativity that later developed into traditional Chinese cultural dragons.

The scientific determination of the clam shell proves that its age is 6460±135 years ago. It is the oldest, most realistic and richest dragon image found in archaeological research in China.

From the distant legend of "Cangjie created characters" to the unearthed objects of "China's first dragon", Chinese civilization has changed from fiction to reality in the fertile cultural soil of Puyang.

With the blessing of profound cultural resources, Puyang is actively planning a new layout around the high-quality integration and development of culture, tourism, culture and innovation. I believe that the influence of Puyang culture and tourism will eventually be like that of Emperor Zhuanxu, who once established his capital here as recorded in ancient books. , Riding a dragon to the world.
