Just under a week ago, cartoonist Don Rosa stated in his closed official fan Facebook group that he received an email from Disney stating that part of the twelve-part work "Uncle Joachim's life", "The World's Richest Duck", will not be published ahead.

Nor will the series "A fantastic dream life" from 2002 about being able to enter other people's dreams be printed in the future, according to the Facebook post.

No reason has been given

"Apparently all 12 chapters are forbidden because they cannot be published without that chapter," writes Don Rosa.

Disney has not given any reason why these two series will not be reprinted.

The wording in the email the company is said to have sent to Rosa refers to the many years of work Disney has put into revising its catalog and adding explanations to works with "negative depictions of people or cultures.

Racist depictions such as "Aristocats", "Dumbo" and "Peter Pan" have been provided with explanatory signs.

"World's Richest Duck" features a witch doctor and a zombie from an African tribe.

However, Disney has not stated whether that image is the reason.

Norwegian Egmont confirms

The series publisher Egmont, which publishes Donald Duck in Scandinavia, has told the Norwegian Nettavisen that the changes will also apply in Norway.

- We are aware of the matter, and this also applies to publishing in Norway, says press spokesperson Tonje Tornes to Nettavisen.

Jonas Lidheimer, in Swedish Egmont, writes in an SMS to Kulturnyheterna that they "do not have any information at the moment" about future Swedish reprints.
