Samy was autistic and polyhandicapped

Samy had autism and multiple disabilities, following an undiagnosed stroke when he was a baby.

Églantine Éméyé had recounted her difficult daily life with her little boy in a documentary broadcast in 2014 on France 5 and entitled

My son, such a long fight.

She testified to the difficulty of finding a suitable structure to accommodate Samy.

The journalist had finally managed to find an establishment and visited her son every 15 days.

Églantine Éméyé has also created an association,

Un pas vers la vie,

which fights to ensure that children with disabilities have an appropriate education.
