Several changes have been made to British author Roald Dahl's books to adapt to the present.
Now, other authors and readers believe that the changes are too extensive.
The Telegraph has listed some examples of changes.
In an earlier edition of "The Witches", for example, it said "even if she works as a cashier in a supermarket or takes dictation for a businessman".
In 2023, the paragraph has been changed to "even if she works as a leading researcher or runs a company".
Not gobble funk
Now the Prime Minister of Great Britain has spoken out on the matter.
A spokesperson for Tory leader Rishi Sunak says: "When it comes to our rich and varied literary heritage, the Prime Minister agrees with SVJ (Big Friendly Giant) that we should not 'gobble funk' with words.
It is important that literary works are preserved and not retouched.
We must always defend the right to freedom of expression," writes The Guardian.
The word "gobblefunk" comes from Dahl's book SVJ and is the language spoken by the giants in Jättelandet.

The "Golden Compass" author Philip Pullman thinks that you can simply stop publishing new editions of Dahl's books and leave room for new children's authors.
