  The Song and Yuan Dynasties were the peak of the development of my country's Maritime Silk Road, and also the heyday of overseas traffic in Quanzhou Port, Fujian.

"Song and Yuan Haisi Banquet" is based on the book "Mountain Family Qinggong" written by Lin Hong, a gourmet from Quanzhou, Fujian, in the Southern Song Dynasty. It excavates, restores and innovates representative dishes with the connotation of "Sea Silk" and the aesthetic characteristics of Song and Yuan. The historical and cultural value of the culturally themed banquet with cultural heritage and the characteristics of southern Fujian cuisine is self-evident.

  Taking "Sanjia Sancrin" as an example, the royal nobles of the Southern Song Dynasty preferred a light and less oily diet, which also meets people's health requirements today.

The dish "Sanjia Three Crisps" is made from fresh bamboo shoots, mushrooms and wolfberry leaves, and seasoned with pepper, which was introduced from the Maritime Silk Road and was a rare condiment at that time.

  Crab stuffed with oranges was once a delicacy at the imperial banquet in the Southern Song Dynasty.

The difference between the "Shanjia Crab Stuffed Orange" in the "Song and Yuan Haisi Banquet" is that the materials are selected from the local sea crabs in southern Fujian.

  It is made from sugar cane and white radish stewed with water. Legend has it that Song Gaozong used it to cool off the summer heat, and Lin Hong, the author of "Mountain Family Qinggong", used it to sober up after three rounds of drinking with friends on snowy nights.

  Tongshen cake is named after Zhu Xi's "Jiang Tongshenming". There is a small amount of ginger in the cake filling, so it is slightly spicy in the salty and sweet, and has a unique taste.

  Shanhaidou, tender bamboo shoots and seafood, the umami flavors of the two are blended, seasoned with pepper, and then "dou" is put up, and "dou" in Hokkien means getting rich and good luck. Also felt good meaning.

  Wang Yueqian, research librarian of the National Museum and curator of the "Exhibition of Ancient Chinese Food Culture", said that this is the first time that the National Museum has introduced all simulated dishes for the exhibition.

The "Song and Yuan Haisi Banquet" itself is an attempt to creatively transform traditional culture and improve innovative development.

  Zheng Tianyou, member of the Standing Committee of the Shishi Municipal Party Committee and director of the Propaganda Department, introduced that after more than ten rounds of screening and careful restoration by the expert group, more than 10 unique dishes such as Shanjia Crab Stuffed Orange, Shanhaidou, and Tongshen Cake were selected from 104 "Shanjia "Standing out" among the dishes of "Qing Gong", together with the local representative dishes selected by the Shishi network survey, finally formed the dishes that were selected into the "Song and Yuan Haisi Banquet" with great IP, aesthetic sense and contemporary characteristics.

Shishi City uses its position to revitalize the Maritime Silk Road World Heritage Site and innovate Fujian cuisine culture. The famous themed banquet "Song and Yuan Haisi Banquet" planned and launched through cultural empowerment was selected as a landmark banquet in June 2022 and was included in the "National Landmark Gourmet List" ".
