On the 14th of Valentine's Day, more than 200 chocolates from all over the country were delivered to Hikonyan, a popular character in Hikone City, Shiga Prefecture, and were displayed at the city hall.

This year, 231 gifts, including chocolates and sweets, arrived from all over Japan at Hikone Castle, a national treasure where Hikonyan is said to live.

On the 14th, an unveiling party was held at Hikone City Hall, and chocolates were lined up on the desk.

Then, in front of a message card that says, "Be careful not to eat too much chocolate," Hikonyan rings the bell around her neck and bows deeply to her. I was expressing my joy.

In addition, Hikone City's character "Iinosuke", who posts information about Hikonyan on Twitter, received 17 presents, and Hikonyan clapped her hands with pleasure.

Uneaten chocolates are distributed at children's cafeterias, etc.

Hikone City will send a thank-you message card in mid-March to those who have sent a gift and whose address is known.

In addition, chocolates that Hiko-nyan cannot eat will be delivered to "Food Bank Hikone" and distributed at children's cafeterias.
