"I had a lot of OCD in my childhood and in the last years"

The opportunity for the actor, who is currently having relationship problems with his wife Marion Cotillard, to confide in the highlights of his life such as his first date or even his worst hangover… Facing Guillaume Pley, Marcel and Louise's dad went very far in his confidences, evoking a particularly intimate subject: his OCD (note: obsessive behavioral disorders).

"I had many, many OCDs in my childhood and in recent years", reveals Guillaume Canet who no longer has this problem for "about five or six years".

“But I had periods… As I smoked a lot of firecrackers at one time, it was even worse”, continues the actor who plays Asterix in his new film.

How did these troubles manifest themselves?

"In fact, I could park, walk up to my house on the fifth floor without an elevator and be like, 'No, I didn't lock the car…' when I had done that 20 times. So I would go back down, walk around out of the car and I would go back, but at the end of the street I could have doubts and come back (…) The taps were leaking everywhere in my house. joints were dying," says Guillaume Canet.

The actor finally consulted a psychologist who made him understand that his OCDs were linked to his anxieties.
