Immediately after the Great East Japan Earthquake, the town of Shichigahama in Miyagi Prefecture, which received aid from Turkey in order to support the areas affected by the earthquake that occurred in southern Turkey, set up donation boxes at the town hall and other places, and the town said, ``To give back to the support at that time. Please cooperate with us."

In Shichigahama Town, Miyagi Prefecture, immediately after the earthquake 12 years ago, about 30 Turkish rescuers visited the town and spent more than two weeks sleeping in tents while carrying out search activities.

A woman in her 20s who donated said, "I remember how happy I felt when the elementary school I was attending at the time received a letter of support from Turkey after the earthquake. I was talking.

According to the town, more than 100,000 yen was collected in the two days until the 8th.
