After Mali and Mauritania, Sergei Lavrov arrived in Khartoum on Wednesday where he is to stay two days.

On the program of meetings with the authorities and in particular his counterpart Ali Al-Sadig, minister appointed by the junta at the head of the country.

The two men must officially discuss commercial exchanges, but there is no doubt that the Russian minister is actually coming to support the military in power and to try to enlarge Moscow's zone of influence.
