  On January 27, 1998, the eve of the Chinese New Year's Eve of the Year of the Tiger, the China National Orchestra performed the "Chinese Folk Concert for the Spring Festival of the Year of the Tiger" in the Golden Hall of the Vienna Music Association in Austria.

This is the first time in the history of Chinese folk music to show its style in the golden hall known as the "music temple".

Twenty-four years later, the Lantern Festival of the Year of the Tiger in Renyin was planned by Zhao Cong, the director of the Central National Orchestra, and the famous conductor Chen Xieyang once again led the Central National Orchestra. Together with many famous folk music masters, they staged " Renyin and Tiger Roaring—The China National Orchestra's Year of the Tiger Lantern Festival Concert and the 24th Anniversary Special in the Golden Hall of Vienna", a "reprint" performed the "Spring Festival Overture" in the 1998 Chinese National Concert of the Year of the Tiger in the Golden Hall of Vienna ", "Two Springs Reflecting the Moon" and other traditional folk music classics, and also brought "Silk Road Flying to the Sky", "Clouds and Wind Dance" and other innovative masterpieces of new folk music that combine national style and spirit of the times.

After the concert titled "The Roar of the Tiger on Renyin" was aired on the NCPA's "Winter Covenant" series of online performances, it received more than 24 million hits on the entire Internet.

  To commemorate this concert with historic significance and innovative value, NCPA Classics, the music label of the National Center for the Performing Arts, joined hands with the Central National Orchestra and "QQ Music · Rejuvenation of Chinese Music" to jointly launch "Renyin Tiger Roar——" in 2022. The China National Orchestra's Year of the Tiger Lantern Festival Concert and the 24th Anniversary Special in the Golden Hall of Vienna" limited commemorative vinyl and CD records.

This record is mixed and produced by Li Dakang, the son of Mr. Li Huanzhi, the first head of the Central National Orchestra, and a national first-class sound engineer. The famous artist Han Meilin exclusively authorizes the image of the Chinese zodiac tiger.

  According to reports, the release of this record is also the first achievement of the official cooperation between the Central National Orchestra and the music label NCPA Classics of the National Center for the Performing Arts.

In the future, the two parties will conduct studio recordings and live recordings on different topics selected by the Central National Orchestra and its artists.
