Nine fire engines were dispatched and the fire was almost extinguished after about an hour and a half, but one two-story wooden house was burned.
According to the police, it seems that a husband in his 90s and a wife in her 80s lived together in this house, and the police are confirming that they have not been able to contact them after the fire.
A woman in her 60s who lives nearby told NHK by telephone, ``I saw a fire coming out vigorously, so I rushed with my neighbors, broke the window on the back of the house where the fire was not circulating, and called out.
