Invited on the BFMTV set on Monday February 6 to speak on the pension reform, François Hollande has decided to play the transparency card.

The former President of the Republic thus revealed the amount of his own pension "so that everyone understands the situation".

François Hollande wishes to be transparent.

Invited to the BFMTV set on Monday February 6 to speak on pension reform, the former President of the Republic decided to "put everything on the table" and reveal his own retirement.

"You combine the retirement of former President of the Republic, former deputy of Corrèze, former adviser to the Court of Auditors and former president of the General Council of Corrèze. Does that seem fair to you?" , first questioned Apolline de Malherbe.

A pension of 11,000 or 12,000 euros

François Hollande replied to him in all honesty: "As far as the President of the Republic is concerned, I have 4,000 euros in retirement since I do not sit on the Constitutional Council", he revealed.

"I have a pension for the Court of Auditors which is around 4,000 euros and the rest is a parliamentary pension. Which means that I have a pension of 11 or 12,000 euros", assures the former president.

A lack of "contribution requested from the highest incomes"

Julie Gayet's husband says he has put everything on the table "so that everyone understands the situation".

"I think for former presidents, 4,000 euros seems to be much less than what happens abroad," he said.

Regarding the pension reform, François Hollande assures that "many people find that this reform is unfair, beyond the modalities and the postponement from 62 to 64 years" because there is a lack of "contribution requested from the highest incomes, nor to the highest patrimonies".
