"Realistic version of Anxin" anti-drug policeman Lei Ming of the Yunnan Wenshan Border Management Detachment has arrested more than 1,900 criminals of various types in the past 14 years

The hit drama "Hurricane", which will start in 2023, has recently come to an end. In the process of fighting against the evil forces, the criminal police officer An Xin went from high-spirited to white-haired. The character traits of loyalty, kindness, and responsibility are deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. .

The main creative team of "Hurricane" said that An Xin is the epitome of thousands of real heroes.

There is such a "real-life version of An Xin" in the Yunnan Wenshan Border Management Detachment. His name is Lei Ming (pseudonym). He joined the police force in 2008 and has been engaged in anti-drug work.

When dealing with drug cases, he often stays up for several days in a row because he is chasing a clue. Lei Ming's black hair gradually turns white under such long-term high-intensity and high-load work.

Today, at the age of 38, he has gray hair all over his head.

As an anti-narcotics policeman, he often walks on the "tip of the knife", is in various high-pressure and dangerous situations, goes to various parts of the country to investigate, and even has to fight drug dealers with real swords and guns.

In the 14 years since he joined the police force, Lei Ming has participated in the investigation and handling of more than 1,000 cases, arrested more than 1,900 criminals, and seized 89.069 kilograms of various drugs.

Due to his busy work, he has less company with his family and often feels indebted.

In the ranks of anti-drug police, there are still many "Thunder".

They can't be seen in public, and they walk bravely and firmly in the hidden world where no one knows their real names.

When interviewed by the Beijing News, Lei Ming was performing a mission and could not communicate with the reporter on the phone. He could only reply to the reporter's questions in text form.

  talk about stress

Long-term high-intensity work, giving birth to gray hair

Beijing News: When did you notice that your hair started to turn gray?

Lei Ming: When I was thirty-two or three-year-old, I found that my hair was more gray, and now my hair is almost half-white.

Beijing News: What causes hair to turn gray?

Lei Ming: When we handle drug cases, sometimes because of a clue, I can’t sleep for several days in a row. In addition to long-term high-intensity and high-load work, my hair gradually turns gray.

I don't care much about my appearance, and I haven't dyed my hair since it turned gray.

But every time I go out on a mission, I shave my hair very short ahead of time.

The Beijing News: Apart from hair, what changes have you noticed in your body?

Lei Ming: As a result of staying up late to handle cases for a long time, life and work and rest have been irregular for a long time, and the body gradually gained weight.

  talk about work

Destroy drug gangs, you will feel like you have won the battle

Beijing News: As an anti-narcotics policeman, what is your usual job like?

Lei Ming: I mainly work on the border of Wenshan, Yunnan, but when I am investigating, I will travel back and forth across the country. I deal with either comrades in arms or drug dealers.

Beijing News: There are many dangers in the work of anti-narcotics police. Can you tell us about the dangerous moments you have experienced?

Lei Ming: We once investigated a drug trafficking case and seized more than 14 kilograms of drugs inside the girder of the vehicle.

Later, we locked his next home in other provinces through drug dealers, and we planned to arrest his next home.

During the arrest operation, the next family drove crazily and fled.

We used two vehicles to attack from left to right, and the other two vehicles blocked from front to back, before forcing the next vehicle to stop.

Then, the next family abandoned the car and ran away. Our car didn't even have time to stop, so we got out of the car and chased him desperately.

After chasing him for about a kilometer, he was successfully intercepted and controlled.

Although the pursuit process was tense and tiring, it was still a sense of accomplishment to catch people and solve a major case.

Beijing News: Why did you take this job?

Lei Ming: My father was a soldier, and he worked in the police force after he was transferred from the army. I have liked the profession of the police since I was a child.

No matter how hard or tired I am, I will keep going.

In addition, I think that the anti-drug work is more interesting if you can fight with drug dealers and fight wits with them.

Beijing News: Some people say that the work of anti-narcotics police can be described as "secret and great". What do you think?

Lei Ming: I agree with this statement.

Regarding the aspect of "secrecy", because of the particularity of my identity, I can't show my face in front of the public, and many people don't know my real name, but I never feel a sense of loss.

I think keeping secrets is the most basic professional quality of a people's policeman. As an anti-narcotics policeman, he must be principled and stand firm.

If you don't have a firm belief and a firm stand, then this career is not suitable for you, and it is best not to do it.

The Beijing News: What motivates you to persevere?

Lei Ming: Every time drugs are seized and a case is successfully solved, there will be a sense of accomplishment. Every time a drug gang is knocked down, there will be a sense of victory.

  talk about family

I owe my family, I'm afraid I won't be able to protect them

The Beijing News: Having been a police officer for so many years, what do you think makes you different from others in the role of "husband, father, and son"?

Lei Ming: As an anti-drug policeman, the one who owes the most should be his family.

I have been separated from my wife for a long time, and I rarely accompany my children and relatives; because of the special status, sometimes I am afraid to go home, afraid to go shopping with my family, and afraid that I will not be able to protect my family.

The Beijing News: In the eyes of children, what does a father look like?

Lei Ming: My children know that I am a policeman, but they don't know that I am an anti-narcotics policeman; in the eyes of my children, I am a superhero and a role model for them.

Beijing News: Does your wife support your work?

Lei Ming: My wife is well aware of the special nature of my work. She has been silently supporting me behind her back, shouldering the responsibilities of supporting the elderly and raising children in the family, and silently undertaking all housework. She has never complained or complained.
