Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, in an interview with the central media, said that the West is eyeing Moldova for the role of the second Ukraine - anti-Russia.

Back in mid-January, the President of the Republic and Romanian citizen Maia Sandu publicly made it clear that the current government in the country is burdened by the neutral status enshrined in the Constitution.

Moreover, the official Chisinau is ready to think about membership in "big alliances" (an unambiguous reference to NATO).

It is no coincidence that the Moldovan President allowed herself this passage.

In recent months, the thesis has been actively introduced into the information space of Moldova that if there is an army of a foreign state on the territory of the country, neutrality loses its meaning.

Naturally, we are talking about the Operational Group of Russian Forces (OGRF) in neighboring Transnistria.

Sandu's militant dances are supported by applause from the ambassadors of the United States, Great Britain and Romania.

Today, in Moldova, anti-Russian rhetoric continues to gain momentum, and spy mania in places exceeds Kyiv's scale.

There is an uncompromising struggle against the "influence of Moscow", Russian-language channels and the media, it is proposed to "root out the Russian infection" in social networks.

The real witch hunt.

Incidentally, the state of emergency that was introduced in Moldova last February was recently extended for another two months.

Formally, the state of emergency allows the authorities to suspend many of the civil rights guaranteed by the Constitution.

Amendments to the basic law regarding status neutrality can easily be passed by a simple majority in parliament, which Maia Sandu has.

And the Constitutional Court will not particularly object - all judges of the Constitutional Court have Romanian passports.

The negotiation process on the Transnistrian settlement has turned into an outright farce in recent years, political contacts with Tiraspol have been reduced to a minimum.

The work in the “5 + 1” format with the participation of Moldova, the PMR, Russia, the USA, the OSCE and the UN is practically paralyzed.

Minister Lavrov, in his interview, draws attention to the fact that “this format is considered by the West to be inappropriate, because it was needed when there were authorities in Chisinau who were interested in maintaining territorial integrity and in an agreement with Pridnestrovie.

And when the government came, which is ready to solve the Transnistrian problem by force and insists on the expulsion of our peacekeepers and those who guard the ammunition depots in Kolbasnoye (OGRF), then no negotiation formats are needed - you just need to support the government.”

The other day, on the air of one Moldovan central TV channel, Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, directly called on the Moldovan leadership to abandon the peaceful approach to the Transnistrian settlement.

“Remember the rule that allows you to maintain independence in a full form: never discuss the possibility of reintegration.

There is your territory, there are your rules, there are your laws.

There are no other discussions.

If a person does not like your rules, he leaves your territory: either legally goes to jail for collaborationism, or he is geographically sent to a country that he likes,” Podolyak admonishes the Moldovans.

Of course, all these squats in imitation of a combat hopak are nothing more than pressure on the information agenda.

But the synchronism of movements in Chisinau, Kyiv, London, Brussels and Bucharest is striking.

The only country that so far is meaningfully silent on the Moldovan side is the United States.

It is unlikely that today's Moldova is capable of direct military aggression in Transnistria.

The unfreezing of the conflict will entail a well-founded enforcement of peace according to the Ossetian scenario, everyone understands this.

Russian peacekeepers, who have been separating the conflicting parties under the OSCE mandate for 30 years on the Dniester, are a serious obstacle to such an adventure.

True, in South Ossetia, during the Georgian aggression in 2008, it was the battalion of Russian peacekeepers who took the first blow.

Revoking a peacekeeping mandate is not easy.

And many agreements with Russia strongly tie the hands of the Moldovan leaders.

They are not ready to break completely with Moscow.

One gas epic is worth something.

Or somehow constantly renewing certificates for the supply of Moldovan vegetables and fruits to the Russian market.

It seems that Maia Sandu has been given the task by her Western curators to start by destroying this legal field, which allows, simultaneously with anti-Russian rhetoric, to receive resources and profits from Russia.

Thus, it is supposed to knock out the financial interest of the Moldovan political elite in the implementation of another areal riot to overthrow Sandu, for which the Moldovans are almost ready for spring.

Troubles in Moldova, of course, are much cheaper than in Ukraine, but still a very expensive pleasure for a poor country.

Well, Maya Grigoryevna herself dreams of bringing her country to her native Romanian harbor.

However, it is not clear how this rhymes with the reintegration of the PMR.

Transnistria should be claimed in Kyiv.

However, the Pridnestrovians themselves think otherwise.

Almost 250,000 Russian citizens live on the territory of this unrecognized state, which is more than half of the real population of the enclave, which today is actually in the role of hostages.
