At around 10 am on January 9, 2023, the Shanghai Zoo will A female tiger and her 4 cubs (3 males and 1 female) were released to play outside the Liger Shanxi Mountain.

During the release process, at around 3 p.m., three cubs jumped into the isolation pool one after another due to stress reactions caused by interference from outside personnel and environmental factors.

The staff immediately isolated the tigress and quickly entered the site to salvage. Two of them were successfully salvaged, and the other was not successfully salvaged.

At 1:00 p.m. on February 1, the breeder found the drowned cub surfaced on January 9 during his inspection, and immediately organized personnel to salvage it and send it to the relevant disposal site.

  The first time the cub fell into the water on January 9, the staff salvaged it immediately. The salvage work continued until dark. It was thicker (about 0.5 meters), and it was not successfully salvaged in the end.
