A study conducted by the Paris Region Institute on the feeling of insecurity in Ile-de-France showed that Val-de-Marne was the Ile-de-France department where this fear was least present.
Only 5.7% of residents thus mentioned a feeling of danger on their own territory for the year 2021, indicates the survey relayed by Actu Val-de-Marne on Monday.
In general, the Val-de-Marnais are 49.3% to declare feeling frightened, noted the eleventh edition of the study “Victimation and feeling of insecurity in Île-de-France”.
By way of comparison, in Seine-et-Marne, the figure reaches 59.5%.
The difference observed in the Val-de-Marne is largely explained by the responses of the inhabitants in terms of public transport, analyzed the authors.
In the department, only 26.2% of the population evokes apprehension in the metro and 26.9% in the RER, details the regional agency specializing in town planning and the environment.
Residents of Paris are on their side 31.4% to be afraid in the metro and 32.4% in the RER.
For the purposes of the survey, 8,000 inhabitants of Ile-de-France aged 15 and over were questioned.
