The Indian artist, Daphnis Suresh, took advantage of the Corona pandemic period to launch a challenge to complete 100 paintings using 100 different materials, as he completed some paintings using different materials such as balloons, buttons, car parts, and many other miscellaneous materials on various surfaces. Suresh excelled at using pens in drawing or using clay in making statues. Rather, he excelled in accomplishing works of art on various surfaces. He challenged the artist himself and his audience, who expressed his great happiness with their support for him through social media platforms, to create works of art, ranging from drawings, statues and paintings. Suresh told Emirates Today: “I aimed to complete 100 artworks using different media, in every artwork I work on, such as using balloons, wax, buttons, and many others, so I worked on these paintings and decided to move to Dubai, after I completed 80 works to finish the rest of the artwork and complete the challenge in Dubai ».

The artist took his residence in Dubai after participating in the "Art Dubai" exhibition, where he expressed his love for Dubai, which is the first destination for artists and creators from around the world, and he worked on a series of paintings that were inspired by the UAE and the vision of its leaders in various works such as « Journey of heights» and «Dream of falcon».

Suresh said, "I had a wonderful opportunity to display my work in Dubai, as I find it a unique opportunity for all artists and art lovers of all nationalities to display their work. There are many wonderful opportunities that Dubai offers for talented people, which prompted me to settle in it."

He added, "Dubai is full of various activities and events, and there is no doubt that it is an excellent opportunity for all artists to display their work and invest in it."

Suresh is keen on awareness-raising artworks, and the art piece was accomplished using scraps collected from the industrial areas in Sharjah, and shaped in a distinctive way to design a model that highlights the importance of time for humans.

Suresh dived to complete one of the paintings he created underwater, describing this wonderful experience as one of the most challenging experiences for him, saying: “Someone suggested that I do underwater artwork, which I found wonderful, but I faced some challenges.” Which is represented in the method of working underwater, as I am not good at diving, but my strong desire to do this work and my passion for art prompted me to learn diving in just one week.
