In an interview with France 3 Nord-Pas-de-Calais, Christophe Willem agreed to answer questions about his financial situation.

The artist, who is preparing to go on tour to perform songs from his new album "Panorama", explained that he was far from being fortunate. 

Fans of Christophe Willem can rejoice.

They will soon be able to find their idol on stage, during an exceptional tour.

It was on this occasion that the 39-year-old singer, revealed by

 Nouvelle Star,

gave an interview to France 3 Nord-Pas-de-Calais.

"I do not necessarily touch huge copyrights"

Asked about his fortune, Christophe Willem, who recently released his sixth album

Panorama,

agreed to say more about his financial situation: "People have to be aware that I haven't composed a lot of titles since the beginning of my career! (Laughs)", he explained.

"In a very factual way, when you are an artist, there is the Adami, these are the performer's rights. So I essentially receive Adami, but I do not necessarily receive huge royalties, because I don't compose that much", continues the singer.

Christophe Willem was keen to insist that he was in no way "fortunate", contrary to what some people might imagine.

"My income is my record sales, my performing rights and my concerts. I have a credit on my house, I only have one house... I don't have a pharaonic fortune! I I'm well off, be careful, but we can't call it a 'fortune'", underlines the interpreter of

Also in his interview for France 3, Christophe Willem spoke about his sexuality.

He lamented that we always put him in a box.

"I always said from the beginning that I had no problem, whether it was a girl or a boy," says the singer.

"People don't understand 'both'. They don't understand that gay or straight, I find that very reductive as a definition", continues the one who defines himself as queer.
