"Sharjah Book" presents a signed copy of Sultan Al Qasimi's novel to the Egyptian President

The Chairman of the Sharjah Book Authority, Ahmed bin Rakkad Al-Amiri, presented a signed copy of the latest literary works of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, the novel “The Daring”, to the Egyptian President;

Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and it was received on his behalf by Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mustafa Madbouly.

The Egyptian Prime Minister expressed his gratitude for the friendly message conveyed by Al-Amiri on behalf of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, in which His Highness expressed his pride and great appreciation for the Egyptian state as president, government and people, while Madbouly, in turn, emphasized the similar status of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah to Egypt and the Egyptians.

This came during the authority’s participation in the activities of the 54th session of the Cairo International Book Fair, which is organized under the slogan “Together We Read, We Think, We Create” during the period from January 25 to February 6, 2023, at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in the Fifth Settlement.

Al-Amiri received, in the authority’s booth, a number of senior official figures and Egyptian officials, including the Minister of Culture, Dr. Nevin Al-Kilani, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, and other dignitaries who expressed their admiration for the pioneering role that Sharjah plays in spreading and promoting Arab culture around the world. .

On the sidelines of the authority's participation, Ahmed Al-Amiri met with the Egyptian Minister of Culture to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the two sides in the fields of publishing and cultural exchange, praising the size of the participation represented by the UAE, not only in the exhibition, but at all levels.

While Al-Amiri presented a number of proposals to enhance cooperation with the Egyptian General Book Authority, and invited Nevin Al-Kilani, and the head of the Egyptian General Book Authority, Dr. Ahmed Bahey El-Din, to participate in the Sharjah Children's Reading Festival in its next session.

Al-Amiri said: “Our participation in the exhibition embodies the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi, in strengthening cooperation between the cultural centers in the region, of which Egypt comes at the heart, because of what it represents of a solid position and a civilizational weight that Arab culture cannot flourish without.” .
