After a few months, the world will meet again at Expo City Dubai, at the Expo 2020 Dubai site, to discuss the topical issue: climate change and global warming at an international summit. The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) is a rare opportunity for peoples to set aside their differences and work together to face these challenges, with Emirati leadership to preside over this event and lead it towards international political consensus and economic balance that contributes to energy transition, responsible global change in environmental practices, and the adoption of a sustainable approach. Restores life balance, and reduces high temperatures.

Will we see governance applications reflected on this challenge?

Will social accountability evolve to increase effectiveness and achieve a rapid global response?

This approach will enhance the moral commitment of individuals, the duty to participate, express an opinion, and the constant pursuit of information and knowledge, according to a non-traditional cognitive approach. Community accountability is one of the vital requirements for improving the quality of life, and the development and well-being of society.

Achieving the principle of equal opportunities and global participation in drawing up policies and following up on their implementation will reduce the level of exclusion and marginalization, and will be a vital tool for strengthening governance and improving opportunities for community development through the optimal use of our non-renewable resources. The responsibility is collective, so that we bear its burdens, and we will reap its fruits together.

Activating the application of good governance concepts to effectively hold stakeholders accountable will contribute to obtaining the executive tools and resources necessary to use them to achieve goals, linking them to the rule of law, transparency and accountability, and embodying the ideal partnership model between international institutions, nations, societies and citizens.

Governance will achieve various goals, including that it will contribute to the development of rules and principles for the management and oversight of international work in international organizations and institutions, to achieve justice and transparency, ensure the right of accountability, protect the rights of the people of the earth, and distribute roles and responsibilities through tight organizational structures that are enhanced by the characteristic of standard evaluation and indicators.

In addition, identifying those charged with good governance, and the participating parties to include the oversight body, will enable the international community to monitor accountability and control over public performance. Contributing to the formal and informal efforts exerted will contribute to enhancing confidence and commitment, and preventing the imbalance of sustainability similar to the corrective measures that were needed. Because of the contradictions of the economic globalization model, and the traditional global governance that was based on rules that serve developed countries and are in their interest.

Will we see a periodic review of indicators, effective governance and accountability for non-compliant states and parties that may reach economic sanctions or non-traditional tools to impose positive environmental change?

Maybe.

Will we witness a local federal government trend to advance sustainability practices and applications of green technologies, modeling, simulation and measurement of the carbon footprint, initiatives to reduce it, and enable energy transition and green supply chains in procurement practices?

We are looking forward to that and more, as these tools are one of the most important features of Emirati leadership and flexibility globally as an international leadership model, with which we have become a beacon in institutional development and government practices that support sustainability and manage change effectively and efficiently.

All great achievements require time, so they deserve to be given time, effort and dedication in order to achieve them, and the protection of life and the earth is worth spending the precious and precious..

And to talk the rest.
