It's more than four o'clock in the morning, because the plane at seven o'clock is relatively close to (Beijing) Daxing Airport. I'm going to start the journey home today, and I hope everything goes well.

[Commentary] On the eve of the Spring Festival, Lin Yuyang, a Taiwanese youth in Beijing, and his wife Wang Man from Xi'an embarked on a journey back to Taiwan.

We bought tea leaves, Wangman’s (hometown) ones, Xi’an’s specialties, and wine from mainland China, and we planned to let our friends in Taiwan taste mainland baijiu, especially strong baijiu. .

[Explanation] On New Year's Eve, the couple came to Dihua Street in Taipei to buy new year's goods.

The shopping crowds are bustling, and the streets and alleys are decorated with red Spring Festival couplets and various lanterns, making them feel the same strong "New Year flavor" as in mainland China.

We are now located on Dihua Street, which is the most famous New Year shopping street in Taipei.

I just walked all the way like this, and saw that there are a lot of delicious food, and everyone is busy doing New Year's goods, which looks very attractive.

[Explanation] In the Spring Festival of previous years, in order to reunite with their families, couples on both sides of the strait often travel across the sea during short vacations.

Relatives and friends are looking forward to the reunion and the hospitality is hard to stop. "Although it is a bit tiring, it is still very happy."

When I come back, I want to see some good friends and family members. The schedule is very full, but when I go home once in a long time, although I am tired, I feel very happy.

[Explanation] Wang Qiang and Ding Wenyun, couples from both sides of the strait, are equally eager to return home.

After reuniting with her family in mainland China, his wife Ding Wenyun returned to Taiwan with their children on the fourth day of the first lunar month.

In the suitcase, Wang Qiang brought a New Year's gift prepared by Wang Qiang for his father-in-law and mother-in-law - a new smartphone made in mainland China.

When I went to Taiwan in the early years, I had to buy these 3C products there every time. I bought a notebook there twice and carried it here. But in the past few years, I feel that the whole trend and market have changed. Now, let’s change it to our electronic products, especially our Huawei mobile phones. We buy them here and carry them there, and they are very popular.

[Explanation] Speaking of returning to her husband Wang Qiang's hometown in Shandong to celebrate the New Year, Ding Wenyun from Taiwan still remembers the scene of friends going to the neighbor's house to celebrate the New Year.

We also go to other people's homes to pay New Year's greetings, and then usually go to about ten or twenty households.

Then I think it's very funny that a lot of young guys and young people go to other people's homes, and then say happy new year and happy new year to the parent, and then they come out, and then another group It was a very lively process, and I found it very interesting.

[Explanation] Wang Qiang was also deeply impressed by the ritual sense of Taiwan's Spring Festival.

Many relatives are together, really, the table is too full to sit down, and then we have to gather together to have this reunion dinner. The sense of ceremony is really very good.

It is precisely because of this that I really deeply understand that the two sides of the strait are actually one family, and our customs are actually the same.

[Explanation] This year, Taiwan youth Lin Jinwei took his son Mengmeng back to Taipei for the New Year; in order to take care of his youngest daughter Yuanyuan, his wife Zhang Shu from Shandong stayed with his parents in Beijing for a reunion.

In the suitcase when returning home, Zhang Shu prepared all kinds of gifts for his family in Taipei.

We brought it here from Beijing, and each of us has a trolley case. We may each have half a case of our own things, and the other half is for our family members.

Some girls use it for my mother-in-law, my sister-in-law, and a pair of sneakers for my father-in-law.

I think this is also a very similar custom on both sides of the strait, that is, celebrating the New Year and adding new clothes.

[Explanation] During this Spring Festival holiday, many couples from both sides of the strait traveled across the sea with the love of their small families and returned to Taiwan for the New Year.

We hope that in the new year, cross-strait relations will get better and better, just like the relationship between me and Wang Man, we can get closer and closer.

[Concurrent] Peking Union Medical College Hospital doctor Ding Wenyun from Taiwan

I hope that through the opening (opportunity) of this epidemic, everything will gradually open up, and then we will be able to go home at least twice a year as before, and the children also hope to often meet with grandpa, the elderly, and other relatives Keep in touch with friends.

[Concurrent] Lin Jinwei's mainland spouse Zhang Shu

I hope that there will be more opportunities for exchanges between the two sides of the strait, especially between ordinary people like us, this kind of communication will be more convenient, and I hope there will be a better development.
